I grew up in a very down-to-earth, hippy manner, and one thing my mama always made was Granola. This recipe is highly customizable, you can add or take out any ingredients that you seem to fancy with each batch!


Preheat oven to 300
1 large beaten egg white
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 ½ cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, pistachios, pecans, or walnuts)
1 ½ cup coconut shavings
½ cup agave syrup
¼ cup olive oil or warmed coconut oil
¼ cup sesame seeds
2 tbsp. packed light brown sugar
1 ½ tsp. kosher salt
½ tsp. ground cinnamon

Combine in a large bowl; toss to combine. Spread out on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake granola, stirring every 10 minutes, until golden brown and dry; 40-45 minutes. Let cool on a baking sheet
Mix in 1 cup dried cranberries or cherries, as well as cacao nibs too if you prefer!
